Man Suspects Sister-in-Law of Infidelity so Installs Hidden Camera in the Toilet

After suspecting that his brother’s wife was cheating on him, the man decided to install a hidden camera in the guest bathroom.

The man noticed something unusual had been happening in his house for a couple of months, so he thought installing a hidden camera would be the best way to find out the truth. 

After seeing the camera footage, the man didn’t know how to confront his sister-in-law. He knew it was wrong to spy on her through a hidden camera.

Without revealing his identity, the man opened up in the “TrueOffMyChest” Reddit forum, asking other Redditors what to do after watching footage from the camera he hid. 

He shared that his brother and sister-in-law had been living in his house for some time. His brother would often return home from work late, leaving his wife alone at home.

Since the man worked from home, he stayed indoors and always knew what his sister-in-law was doing. Until one day, he noticed she had disappeared.

After working the entire week, the man would usually spend his Fridays with his friends. They took turns inviting each other to their homes. 

The last time he saw them disappear, he noticed that someone was there in the guest room’s bathroom.

He had invited his friends to his place multiple times, and every time, he noticed that a friend of his mysteriously disappeared and then returned through the garage door.

At the same time, his sister-in-law would also disappear. Her bedroom door would be open, but she wasn’t inside. He would check the garage and the backyard but wouldn’t find them.

After this happened multiple times, he came up with a plan. The last time he saw them disappear, he noticed the guest room’s bathroom was occupied. The light was on, but he didn’t know who was inside.

He bought a spy camera disguised as a clock and hung it in the bathroom to see what happened after his friends came over the next time. 

The next night his friends were over, he saw his friend disappear again. Like the last time, his friend returned from the garage after ten minutes. This time though, the man was sure the camera captured the evidence he was looking for. 

After his friends left, he tiptoed into the guest room and got hold of the camera footage. To his horror, he saw his friend meeting his sister-in-law in the bathroom and being intimate. He couldn’t believe that she was cheating on his brother with his friend.

The footage also revealed the friend jumping out of the window after and re-entering the house through the garage door, pretending he was just out catching some fresh air. On the other hand, his sister-in-law came out of the bathroom door as if nothing had happened.

Despite having the evidence he needed, the man was confused about his next step. He knew his sister-in-law would create a scene if she found out he was spying on her through a hidden camera in the bathroom. 

“I’ll just be looked at as a creep, but I just want to show my brother the evidence and truth,” he stated.

“Seal the window so he can’t sneak out of it, and the next time they both go in there, knock on the door, then wait outside pretending you really have to pee,” Redditor ResponsibleClub8957 suggested. 

Redditor iwanttobenora warned the man to be careful and read about the laws in his state. She shared that it was illegal to film someone without their consent in her state. 

Since courts do not consider illegal recordings, the Redditor suggested he keep himself updated with the laws before his brother filed for divorce.

“If he uses it to show his brother, there is no need for anyone else to know,” noidea_19 replied. But iwanttobenora said that his brother could accidentally reveal that he had watched the footage. He could tell his wife about it during a heated argument, which would get his brother into trouble.

The Redditor suggested that the man should say he saw his sister-in-law enter the bathroom when his friend was already in there. Saying this wouldn’t get him into trouble for planting a hidden camera in the bathroom.

Most Redditors suggested different ways the man could open up to his brother about the incident, but they agreed he should tell him about his cheating wife.
