Mandy Moore and Princess Eugenie’s common thread is through their children. Both first time moms delivered baby boys in February 2021, but that’s not the only connection they share. The actor and art director both named their baby boys August.
Princess Eugenie was the first to give birth on February 9, 2021. A week and a half later, the princess introduced her little bundle of joy via her Instagram. “We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank,” Princess Eugenie captioned a photo of herself, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and little August. “Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express,” she added. On August’s first birthday, Princess Eugenie revealed on Instagram the adorable nickname she and her husband had gifted him. “Happy 1st Birthday to our little hero Augie,” she wrote. “We love you!”
On February 20, Moore welcomed her first born with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith. Days later, Moore introduced her baby August to her Instagram account and shared the sentimental reason she’d chosen the name. “It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we were having a boy (it’s also Taylor’s birth month) and we always loved the name… so it was settled very early on in our book,” wrote Moore.
