Margaret Josephs’s son prefers to stay out of the spotlight. In an interview, the reality star revealed that she has a great bond with her son and described him as a great human. However, she acknowledged her difficulties in reconnecting with her step-kids.

Jan was 20 years older than Margaret, and his three children were from his previous relationship. When he and the fashion mogul married, his children, whom he had full custody of, were aged 8, 14, and 16. Margaret revealed in an interview that she loved her step-children and was obsessed with them.

During an interview, she openly expressed how she loved and cared for her step-children. She said, “They needed someone to love them, and I was completely obsessed with them.”

Margaret’s dynamic with her step-children underwent a significant shift when she chose to end her marriage with Jan and enter into a new relationship with her current spouse, Joe Benigno. At the time, her step-children had reached adulthood and moved out of the family home.

Following her separation from Jan, tensions between her and the step-children escalated. While her son maintained contact with his half-siblings, communication between them and Margaret became strained.

Despite the difficulties, she revealed that she still deeply cared for them, occasionally browsing their pictures on Facebook to stay connected. Even so, she remained hopeful of reconciliation with them. She once said:

“I know they don’t hate me. They’re holding a grudge. And it doesn’t make it any easier. But I know in my heart we’ll find a way back to one another. I’d die over them.”

However, she further remarked that she writes to them constantly, and they acknowledge her message with thank yous, but their relationship does not feel the same as they were her whole life, and it was weird that she no longer knew what they were up to.
