Next weekend an array of dazzling women from across the county will compete in the Miss England Regional Final 2023 hoping to bag the coveted pageant crown.
On Sunday, October 1 Doncaster is to stage one of the most glamorous events of the year. The Earl of Doncaster Hotel, Bennetthorpe, ballroom will host the most prestigious beauty pageant in the region.
Contestants will battle it out in their best ball gowns hoping to be selected as Miss Yorkshire -the regional final for Miss England, which then leads on to Miss World.

Amongst the contestants taking part will be Sophie Phillips from York, who wants to become an MMA fighter and Celine Bickerdike, who dreams of being a TV presenter.
Here is a a closer look at this years contestants.
Rebekah Watkins
Rebekah Watkins is from Howden, she has a keen interest in archaeology and building conservation and loves to kayak.
Abi McCabe
Abi McCabe, 26, is a model and graphic designer from Leeds. Abi has 2.9M Instagram followers and can be found here. She has recently done a sky dive for charity.
Celine Bickerdike
Celine Bickerdike has a dream of being a TV presenter and has campaigned for the national mental health charity – Time to Change.
Chloe McEwan
Chloe McEwan lives in Harrogate and can speak Spanish. Her ambition is to have her own clothing brand.
Alanya Rose Watson
Alanya Rose Watson is the youngest contestant at age 16 and wants to become an engineer.
Princess Akande
Princess Akande, lives in Bradford and likes to practice in martial arts and basketball.
Mia Risco
Mia Risco, 18, is a student representing Sheffield. She is a keen Bollywood dancer. She has also started to perform on a trapeze.
An interesting fact about Mia is that she used to be a figure skater and competed for years with her final competition being in Estonia! Mia represented Great Britain and placed 2nd in the event.
Harriet Jeffrey
Harriet Jeffrey is from York and has been riding horses since the age of 2, she also loves to do car rallying and play football.

Annalise Butler
Annalise Butler, 23, is entering Miss Yorkshire for the 2nd time and works as a freelance horse riding instructor, she is also a passionate show jumper.
She has a horse named Chester. Despite spending much of her time in riding boots, she is also looking forward to the Miss England Regional Final next weekend.
Madeleine Horton
Madeleine Horton is from Etton in East Yorkshire and has keen passions to bake, write and do wood carvings.
Lilly May Wilson

Lilly May Wilson is from Hull and loves freestyle dance and is hoping to start at Uni to study dental therapy.
Kelsey Astill
Kelsey Astill from Driffield likes walking, cooking and cycling and would love to set up her own business.
Sandy Horwell
Sandy Horwell is from Wetwang, North Yorkshire, she plays the flute and saxophone and wants to graduate as a doctor.
Shannon Clifton
Shannon Clifton is from Doncaster and owns her own beauty cosmetics business.
Izzy Fowler
Izzy Fowler is representing Rotherham and is a diamond brand ambassador.
Contestants are in with a chance of being selected as Miss Yorkshire and to represent their counties in the Miss England Final.
