Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, revealed her experience of getting a foot in the door in Hollywood in a TV show that reduced her to a “bimbo.”

Per the Daily Mail, former actress Meghan Markle revealed why she quit her stint on “Deal or No Deal” as a briefcase girl only after 34 episodes.

Markle disclosed on her Spotify podcast that she was “objectified” and was expected to have spray tans and wear a padded bra that made her feel like a “bimbo.”

The American native expressed that although she was fortunate to work and earn a living as an upcoming actress, she was uncomfortable about the entire experience and felt less intelligent. Markle said she disliked “feeling forced to be all looks.”

During the podcast alongside her guest, Paris Hilton, the Duchess of Sussex said she desired for her one and only daughter Lilibet to be valued for her mind rather than “beauty not brains” like she was perceived on the game show.

Markle explained that she wants her child, whom she shares with Prince Harry, to be “educated” and “smart” and for her to be prideful of having those qualities:

The mother of two had a stint on “Deal or No Deal” between 2006 and 2007 during season 2 of the NBC show. However, she exited the program in the middle of the season.

The royal divulged that she left the show because she realized she was “so much more” than what she was portrayed to be and disliked being pressured “to be all looks and little substance.” Markle expressed she felt like she was being transformed into “this specific archetype, the word ‘bimbo.'”

She revealed that she and other women on the show were coerced to “line up” for beauty treatments, including wearing padded bras, getting fake eyelashes, and putting in hair extensions.

Markle further disclosed that they “were given spray tan vouchers” weekly because there was a certain way they had to look like, adding the show put their main focus on their “beauty.”

The TV star added a woman “in charge” of the production would tell her to “suck it in” right before filming started, which could have meant that she had to suck in her stomach on camera.

The California native appeared on “Deal or No Deal” before her acting break on the popular legal drama, “Suits.” While making a living on the TV show, she would reminisce about her previous job at the US Embassy in Argentina, Buenos Aires, where she was valued for her brilliance which was the opposite in the program.

New York journalist Clare Malone defined “bimbo” as “a word that is used to cut down a beautiful woman to say, well, she’s beautiful, but maybe she’s silly or stupid.”

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, are following the in footsteps of the late Princess Diana in parenting their two kids, Archie and Lilibet.

Markle & Prince Harry’s Parenting Methods

Markle prioritizes being a mom of two kids despite having her own business, the Archewell Foundation, which allows her to juggle her home life and commitments.

Per Hello Magazine, the “Remember Me” star wrote an open letter to the US congress, emphasizing the importance of paid parental leave.

In the letter, the doting mom mentioned that she and her spouse had welcomed their second child, adding like many other parents, they were delighted and “overwhelmed” at the same time.

Markle explained that, unlike other parents, she and the father of her kids were not faced with the “harsh reality” of thinking about going back to work or spending the first few months with their newborn daughter.

She stated they were aware that they could go home with their infant child and become devoted to their brood during that period.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child, son Archie in May 2019 and their daughter Lilibet in June 2021. Per Express, former show director at “The Baby Show” Zoe Banser shared an observatory analysis of Markle’s parenting technique when she had her son.

Banser divulged the “Castle” star “trusts in her own decisions and makes her own way when it comes to motherhood, taking influence from others from outside of the Royal Family.”

She suggested the royal follows in her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana’s footsteps. Banser said the People’s Princess’s parenting approach was “very hands-on and nurturing.”

She added that the Princess of Wales wanted to raise her sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, as “normal as possible,” which her daughter-in-law also seems to be passionate about regarding her own kids.

Now that Markle is a mom of two toddlers, parenting expert Lucy Shrimpton shared advice for coping with two young kids. Shrimpton said the royal siblings would likely grow up with a close bond, mainly because they are “near in age.”

The expert emphasized that Prince Harry and Markle should “encourage” their kids’ “love and trust in one another,” adding the duo could use their children’s age gap by getting their son involved with his sister often.

Shrimpton explained that older kids tend to suffer, especially when they receive all the attention before getting a sibling; hence it is essential to teach them their roles as older brothers or sisters to care for their younger siblings.

The Duke & Duchess’ Montecito Mansion

Markle and Prince Harry moved to California in June 2020. The Duchess told The Cut that she and her husband instantly fell in love with their Montecito mansion when they first viewed it and went all out to get the house.

The couple’s bedroom features four separate areas: the bedroom, an en-suite bathroom, a dressing room, and an outdoor terrace.
