Pfeiffer has walked down the aisle twice. Her first marriage was to fellow actor Peter Horton, with whom she was married from 1981 until 1988.

Five years after her union ended, the “Ant-Man” star met her now husband, Kelley, in early 1993. The pair were set up on a blind date and instantly developed a connection.

By then, Pfeiffer was already in the process of adopting her daughter Claudia. She and Kelley had only been a couple for two months when she brought her child home. Of the experience, the doting mom said:

“So, we had this child with us right away, and most people don’t have that. But I really got to see [Kelley] in a situation that certainly would separate the boys from the men. Obviously, he really rose to the occasion.”
