Monica Barbaro has proved she is a woman of many talents. Before she learned how to fly F-18 fighter jets for a film or took vocal and guitar lessons for an upcoming role, the San Francisco native went from studying as a classically trained ballerina to venture into acting.

Following her earlier acting credits, Monica Barbaro has starred alongside action stars such as Tom Cruise and Arnold Schwarzenegger, becoming somewhat of an action heroine. The actress has gained a large following due to her success, with fans taking more interest in her and who she is dating when she isn’t on set and performing dramatic stunts.

Monica’s Private Life Is Unknown

During interviews, Barbaro mainly shares about her career. In 2022, She opened up about filming “Top Gun: Maverick,” the reboot of Tom Cruise’s classic, “Top Gun,” and spoke about the “tough” wait for fans to finally see the film after it was postponed due to the pandemic.

And earlier in 2023, the actress showed no signs of slowing down as she took on another project, the romantic comedy “At Midnight.” However, unlike “Top Gun: Maverick,” “At Midnight” allowed her to connect with her dance background. “I just felt really lucky that everyone wanted to lean into that,” Barbaro said.

Regardless, the actress revealed that dancing and filming of action scenes have many more similarities than one might think. The “At Midnight” star shared:

“In ballet, there’s such an attention to detail in literally every limb of your body and how it moves exactly. I think learning stunts and choreography and a character’s physicality requires that same attention to detail.”

The post was followed by another appreciation post for the people she had grown close to while making the movie. “More At Midnight love because we’re all still in love with each other,” Barbaro captioned the post.

In January 2023, the actress stepped out in a strapless red dress as she walked the carpet at the Golden Globes. The actress’s series of snaps also included pictures of her with her handsome co-stars Glen Powell, Danny Ramirez, and Jay Ellis. However, she has left no trace of being in a relationship on her Instagram account.

Monica Had an Onscreen Relationship in One of Her Movies

In the movie “At Midnight,” Monica Barbaro portrays the strong character of Sophie Wilder, who embarks on a journey where she falls in love with Diego Boneta’s Alejandro. The rom-com was shot in Mexico, and the actress said:

“I’ve never seen anything like this. It is like Hollywood meets Mexico in a beautiful way whereas I think historically [Hollywood’s] kind of treated [Mexico] as this desolate wasteland.”

Of Mexican and Italian heritage, Barbaro shared that both countries were not always accurately depicted in films. However, in “At Midnight,” the actress revealed that the Spanish-speaking country “sort of became its own character and its own enriching experience.”

We’d argue with smiles on our faces. That was kind of our father-daughter dynamic that I think spun itself really nicely into these two characters,” Barbaro said.
