Naya Rivera’s son, now-6-year-old Josey Dorsey, is officially entering elementary school! Earlier this year, Ryan Dorsey updated fans that Josey graduated from kindergarten. Now, Ryan posted a first-day-of-school photo of Josey before his first day of first grade. “Dear Summer, What happened? How’d you go so fast?” he wrote on Instagram. “Kindergarten just ended, Now we’re in 1st grade class!? My big boy. @joseydorsey I Love you so much !!”
Underneath the post, two of Rivera’s “Glee” castmates — Jenna Ushkowitz, who played Tina, and Heather Morris, who played Brittany — showed their love for their late friend’s son. Ushkowitz dropped a red heart emoji and Morris bombarded with multiple heart-eyed emojis. Many comments on Ryan’s post were reminiscing on how proud Rivera would be of Josey and how he’s grown up.
July of 2022 marked two years since Rivera’s tragic death, and her former “Glee” co-stars used the anniversary to remember the powerhouse actor. “Everyday my angel,” Morris captioned her heartfelt throwback photos. “I miss you every damn day.” Kevin McHale, who portrayed the wheelchair-ridden Artie, wrote, “The best there ever was forever & ever.” Although there was speculation from Rivera’s father, the creators of “Glee” have confirmed they will be establishing a trust fund for Josey to ensure that he’ll be able to pay for college once he graduates.
