On August 10, at exactly 7:15 p.m., a traffic accident involving two automobiles was reported to the Jackson police department. Police were called to Campbell Street for the rescue effort.

Three victims had received significant traumatic injuries when officers and emergency medical personnel arrived on the site.

All of the occupants of the two cars were transferred to a local hospital for treatment by Emergency Medical Services. Raegan and Brianna, the accident victims, perished as a result of the injuries they sustained in the sad incident.

Brianna Nichole Mathis, 19, will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Hunt Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Terry Stewart officiating. The funeral will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Cory and Nichole Mathis of Bradford are her parents. Lanee Mathis of Bradford is her only sibling.

Cindy Reynolds, her maternal grandmother from Bradford, Tennessee, and Tony and Betty Mathis, her paternal grandparents from Bradford, Tennessee

Lyle and Kathy Coffman of Allen, Texas were Tennessee’s maternal great-grandparents. Bernice Lou Mathis of Bradford, Tennessee, and Betty Scott of Bradford, Tennessee, are both survivors of their paternal great-grandmothers.
