Noah Lee Ritter Was Born as John Ritter’s Daughter – More about the Late Actor’s Child

“Three’s Company” star John Ritter was just 54 when he died of an undiagnosed aortic dissection in 2003, on his youngest, Noah Lee Ritter’s birthday. In recent years, Noah has transitioned from female to male.

John Ritter’s son Noah Lee Ritter keeps a low profile, has not acted in anything since 2013, and has all his social media private. He made one of his first public appearances since his transition in May 2022 at an event for his dad’s foundation.

Noah Lee Ritter was born on September 11, 1998, and is the only child of John and his second wife, Amy Yasbeck. On Noah’s fifth birthday in 2003, his father unexpectedly passed away. It was also his first week of preschool.

“Hi honey, this is John, ” John said in a voice message to his wife on the day of his passing. “I’m in my dressing room and not feeling very well. I think I have food poisoning.”

Amy brought a $67 million wrongful death lawsuit in February 2008 against the cardiologist who treated her husband on the day of his death, Dr. Joseph Lee, and a radiologist who took his body scan in 2001, Dr. Matthew Lotysch.

She testified that he called back complaining about chest pains. Following a month-long trial, a jury cleared the two medical professionals of negligence by mid-March. The widow had received over $14 million from other medical defendants.

Amy set up a foundation in her husband’s name, The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, which spreads awareness of the rare condition. She said after the court case:

“So many people have reported to me that they go into an emergency room with chest pains and say, ‘I’m not going out of here until you check me for that John Ritter thing.’ It has saved their lives. It’s in the front of their minds now”

Born Stella Ritter, Noah has been keeping a low profile on social media and in public. His Twitter, which has been rebranded to X, account is set to private.

John helped his eldest son Jason Ritter get his first part.

He warns in his X profile that he hardly ever accepts follow requests and does not use social media much as “a private guy.” Noah’s IMDb profile is still under his dead name ‘Stella Ritter,’ but the pronouns have been updated to reflect his identity.

He acted opposite Mike Bloodworth, Joe Brown, and Jake Johnson as Girl at School in the 2007 TV comedy movie “This Is My Friend.”

Amy Yasbeck’s child is also known for “The Namazu,” a 2012 short film on which he is also credited as composer, and did voice work in 2013 on “Behind Closed Doors.”

Noah posed alongside his mother and half-siblings at “An Evening from the Heart in L.A.” for his father’s foundation in May 2022.

Her paternal grandfather is Country Music Hall of Famer Tex Ritter. She was raised in Los Angeles and attended high school in Santa Monica. Later, she attended Vassar College in New York.
