WILLIAMSBRIDGE, Bronx (WABC) — An off-duty police officer shot a man in the arm during a dispute inside a Bronx store on Thursday.
The 42-year-old man came into the store, located on White Plains Road in Williamsbridge, around 3 p.m.
Police say he got into a dispute with an off-duty NYPD officer that was also in the store.
During the dispute, the officer fired his weapon one time, striking the man once in the left arm and grazing his chest.
The man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he’s being treated for his injuries. He’s expected to survive.
The investigation is ongoing.
