‘Oh Please, Comb the Child’s Hair’: Jeannie Mai’s Followers Criticize Her Daughter’s Hair

Jeannie Mai’s daughter, Monaco Mai-Jenkins, is a greatly appreciated sight for many fans who were delighted when her face was revealed five months after her birth. However, some fans now take a different stance, criticizing Jeannie for the one-year-old’s appearance.

Actress and TV personality Jeanie Mai, famously known as one of “The Real” talk show’s co-hosts, visited Instagram several hours ago. The TV star shared a photo and two videos of herself having a cute mother moment with her toddler, Monaco Mai-Jenkins.

The first slide shows Monaco laughing as her mother captures a photo of her. She was dressed in a white Balmain T-shirt, a denim skirt, and a black jacket. Jeannie battled for her daughter’s attention in the second slide, as she wanted to get a kiss, which she did get in the third.

Some fans gracefully approached what was handled like a TLC lesson for Jeanie. A fan suggested the haircare products from Reagan Sanai for detangling curly hair. They added that satin or silk mattress covers would be a great option if Monaco sleeping with a bonnet on was not.

Jeanie also had the support of followers who felt it was ridiculous for others to be so demanding of her parenting. Someone encouraged Jeannie not to be too concerned with the comments from fans requesting that she tends to Monaco’s hair.

Another user defended Jeannie in response to someone else. They said it was rude and weird for strangers to comment on the one-year-old’s hair based on a snapshot moment from her day without the mother asking for advice. In a separate comment, the same user said:

Jeannie announced her daughter’s arrival in January last year with an Instagram post. She shared a picture of an empty bassinet but clarified in the caption, “I asked God for a life of love and happiness. He sent me my family. Baby Jenkins is here 🍼❤️.”

The TV star provided no details about the baby’s gender or name. She posted a video from her Winter Wonderland-themed baby shower hosted by friends and family the month before, referring to her unborn child as Baby J—Sidenote: Monaco also has a half-brother from her father’s previous relationship.
