A yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Yorkshire on Sunday (September 17).
The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for parts of the UK on Sunday afternoon, including South Yorkshire. The warning, which covers Doncaster, is in place from 1pm until 6am on Monday.
The forecaster said: “A small chance of disruption from severe thunderstorms later on Sunday.”

The Met Office has warned of a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds. It has also said when flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.

Some power cuts could also occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost. And, spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life, says Met Office.
