Paul McCartney’s Only Son James ‘Looks Older’ than Dad in Recent Public Appearance

Paul McCartney’s only son James mostly maintained a private life but recently stepped out to support his father’s newest project. With new photos of him surfacing, fans compared the father and son’s resemblance.

The McCartney clan assembled in style at London’s National Portrait Gallery for a private viewing of “Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm.”

However, an article by DailyMail spotlighting the father-son duo’s resemblance ignited a discussion on Facebook. The uncanny resemblance—or lack thereof—between James and 81-year-old Paul garnered mixed reactions.

“Paul McCartney was good-looking as a young man; sadly his son has not inherited the handsome gene,” commented one Facebook user. Another quipped, “He looks older than his dad.”

One observer noted the perplexing resemblance, “Sorry to say this but his son looks like his father and his father looks like his son.” Another fan claimed to have met James and said he’s “nothing like his dad.”

Leaping to James’s defense, a social media user declared, “Wow look at all the women body shaming the poor guy for his looks, if it was a woman they would be all up in arms if there were any negative comments, leave him alone for goodness’ sake, nothing wrong with him.”

Like father, like son, James, whose mother is the late Linda Eastman, embraced a music career. With collaborations on his dad’s solo albums, “Flaming Pie” and “Driving Rain,” he showcased his talents on drums and guitar, co-penning tracks as well.

As a solo artist, James dropped EPs like Available Light (2010) and Close at Hand (2011). James proudly wears the title of his father’s biggest fan, calling Paul the greatest rock star.
