Over the past few years, the Queen’s health has concerned many people. In March 2019, the monarch had tongues wagging due to her engagement at Buckingham Palace.

Queen Elizabeth II welcomed the Queen and King of Jordan at the time. The Royal Family’s Twitter account shared the image that went viral for all the wrong reasons because of one notable thing.

Royal fans who looked closely noticed that the monarch had a purple hand with the mark being caused by a bruise. The followers wanted to know what had caused the bruise, while others begged for the Queen to be taken to a hospital, with one person writing:

“I love keeping up with Queen EliAbeth (sic) II, but I’m concerned. Why does she have such a terrible bruise on her left hand? Did I miss something?”

The fan concluded their post, noting that the Queen still and always looked stunning. Another person thought the bruise was a “medical emergency” and urged the royal to be taken to a hospital.

The Twitter user believed the mark was a severe injury that had to do with there not being enough “oxygen in the blood.” The royal follower said the medical condition that the Queen might have was known as cyanosis and begged the monarch to be taken for help.

Express said doctors tried to settle people’s concerns and revealed how people the Queen’s age, 96 in 2022, got thinner skin as they got older. The elderly lost some of the skin’s fat layer that protects from knocks and bumps.

The medical experts also noted how older people tended to fall, or the bruise could be caused by a drip, injections, or blood-thinning medicine. A royal expert, Joe Little, suspected the bruise had something to do with the Queen’s anemia because she often wore band-aids.

PEOPLE WORRIED AFTER THE QUEEN CANCELED AN IMPORTANT EVENT

On August 8, 2022, Russell Myers, a royal editor, appeared on “Lorraine” where he discussed a cancelation the Queen had made. Myers noted how there were fears about the monarch’s health after she canceled Balmoral Castle’s traditional welcoming event.

The British royal would inspect a military unit at the ceremony before arriving at her estate in Scotland. However, her mobility issues forced the tradition to change to give the royal some “comfort.”

The estate was where the Queen went for her annual summer stay. The news about the cancelation was confirmed on the second week of August 2022 by Buckingham Palace.

Instead, the event to mark the Queen’s stay would now occur behind closed doors. In the fall of 2021, it was revealed that the royal had been experiencing mobility issues and would be seen using an aide to move around.

The monarch has often used a walking stick or cane to get around during royal engagements. One recent sighting where she used the cane to move around was in early June 2022, during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The most recent outing that the royal had was on July 15, 2022. The Royal Family’s Twitter account shared an image of the Queen accompanied by her daughter, Princess Anne, for a visit to Thames Hospice to open the new state-of-the-art facility.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S RECENT MOBILITY ISSUES AND HER PLAN TO “STAY MUM”

In July 2022, Vanity Fair revealed that Her Majesty’s workload had been lightened with some of her responsibilities passed on to her son, Prince Charles. Buckingham Palace said her role as Head of Nation and state had been amended.

Her list of duties had been changed from thirteen to fewer due to her ongoing mobility issues. The Queen’s medical problem led her to withdraw from several public events and royal engagements.

The publication said it was the first time in over ten years that the royal’s responsibilities had been formally changed. When the British Parliament had to be officially opened, the Queen left the job to Charles.

The role was passed on to the Duke of Cornwall for the first time in nearly 60 years, and it was the only time his mother couldn’t attend the ceremony. Charles also stepped in for her at her Trooping the Colour celebrations.

The monarch’s mobility issues caused her to skip the Royal Ascot’s first day. At the Platinum Jubilee, she also missed out on the Service of Thanksgiving church event in her honor because of a “discomfort.”

During a 2022 interview with People magazine, Tracy Borman, an author, noted how the Queen’s “lack of personal drama” was her secret to success. Borman wrote the book “Crown & Sceptre: A New History of the British Monarchy.”

Her [the Queen] go-to plan for the drama was to remain tight-lipped and keep her personal life out of her public one.

While her grandson, Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan, made headlines for various reasons, and Charles and his ex-wife, the late Princess Diana’s infidelities in the 80s and 90s, the Queen was hardly ever in the news for any drama.

The monarch hardly found herself at the center of any royal drama, which was believed to be due to her motto. The Queen allegedly held an unofficial belief: “never complain, never explain.”

The statement was believed to have originated from British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli in the 19th century. He was adopted by the Queen’s parent, the Queen Mother, and the Royal Family took in his mantra.

In recent years, the monarch has been tested by her son, Prince Andrews’s scandals and the March 2021 tell-all CBS interview conducted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from the senior roles in 2020.

The Queen never complained or explained her stance, no matter how intense things got. Her go-to plan for the drama was to remain tight-lipped and keep her personal life out of her public one.
