The actress was just a child when Lori saw talent and potential in her. Not long after, Sadie’s mom sent her to drama school to enhance her skills in the craft.

Guided by professionals, Casey and Lori’s daughter were able to learn how to act well. Meanwhile, the couple’s different careers in sports and academia kept Sadie grounded and balanced.

Sadie Sink’s Close Relationship with Her Family

Casey and Lori welcomed Sadie on April 16, 2002. They also had four other children, Jacey Sink, Caleb Sink, Spencer Sink, and Mitchell Sink, who is also getting into show business.

Sadie’s parents homeschooled her until second grade but later transferred her to a regular school. According to the actress, going to school with other kids has been influential in her life. “That was so, so important for me because I’d been out of that environment for so long,” Sadie said. “It was good for me to be a kid.”

Casey and Lori made another good decision for their child when they enrolled her in an acting class. Lori first noticed her daughter’s talent when she watched the young star recreate scenes from Disney’s “High School Musical” alongside her brother.

Not long after, Lori’s daughter was learning amongst professionals in a Houston theater school. Undoubtedly, Casey and Lori were proud to watch their little girl start her career on Broadway, starring as the titular character in “Annie.”

When Casey and Lori saw their daughter’s career opportunity grow, they made sacrifices for her to grab the chance. Their whole family ended up moving to New York City for Sadie to pursue acting. Sadie said:

“My family has always been so supportive of me and my career. [The] theater was such a big part of my life growing up.”

Interestingly, Casey and Lori were never involved in the entertainment industry. They raised their children inclined to sports, but as fate played its part, Sadie gravitated toward the arts. Her brother, Mitchell, specifically played a role in getting Sadie interested in acting.

Casey and Lori’s children would bond over watching Broadway bootlegs on Youtube and other award-winning performances. The interest grew over time until Sadie landed her first minor role in the production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

Besides Sadie and Mitchell, Casey and Lori’s other children also have good relationships with each other. Of their five kids, only four have red hair, which Sadie called their “signature look.” However, neither Casey nor Lori are redheads.

Sadie’s bright locks made her an easily distinguished actress in Hollywood. She has since displayed her good looks and talent on television, with several roles under her belt. Nevertheless, she still relies on Casey and Lori to help her as a student.

The “Stranger Things” star once recalled juggling work and academics. When she forgot her calculator for the practice PSAT, Sadie had to text her father to come to the rescue with a graphing calculator.

“Being an actress, I feel like I’m always traveling and jumping around from place to place,” she said. “It’s nice to have a family home to come back to.”

Sadie Sink’s Father, Casey Sink, Devoted Himself to Coaching

Unlike his daughter, Casey chose a career in sports as a coach. He graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Texas A&M University. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

He worked as a teacher and coach at Brenham High School before moving to Summit Senior High School in 2013. Besides being a football coach, Casey also teaches Algebra 2 and Geometry. Casey’s love for sports was passed on to his son, Caleb Sink, who became a quarterback.

Sadie Sink’s Mother Also Had Supportive Parents

Like her husband, Lori also attended Texas A&M and became a math teacher. With their busy lives working and raising their kids, Casey and Lori received help from other family members.

While on the podcast “Inside the Moms Club,” Lori revealed that her parents supported her children’s careers by accompanying them on tours when no one else was available. “It takes a village,” Lori said.

Sadie’s mom also shared the story of bringing her children to auditions. One was “Secret Garden,” where Sadie was cast despite her young age. Her son, Mitchell, also landed a role in the production, which got him interested in acting.

Two of Sadie Sink’s Four Siblings Are Also Associated with the Film Industry

Besides Mitchell, Sadie’s younger sister, Jacey Sink, is also a professional actress. Interestingly, Jacey played the younger version of her sister’s “Stranger Things” character, Max.

Meanwhile, the other Sink siblings, Caleb and Spencer, don’t seem interested in acting. Spencer lives a private life, with his social media accounts only available to family and friends. However, it is known that he graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City’s School of Law in 2022.

On the other hand, Caleb is an alumnus of Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He takes after his father and is involved in sports, although his profession remains unknown.

Their sister, Sadie, gained popularity after starring in “Stranger Things.” Her role significantly progressed in the show’s fourth season, which was released on May 27, 2022.

Although “Stranger Things” will have a fifth season, it will sadly be the last. The brilliant minds behind the show only planned to have a storyline that would last four to five seasons. This is why they will stick to this timeline without overstaying their welcome.

Several “Stranger Things” cast members have grown up before the public’s eyes, including Millie Bobby Brown, who has starred in “Enola Holmes” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.”
