Emily Ratajkowski’s decision to divorce Sebastian Bear-McClard coincided with a break from work for him. In 2014, Bear-McClard, along with filmmakers Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie and producer Oscar Boyson, launched their film production company Elara Pictures, which has gone on to have immense success. According to IMDb, Bear-McClard has produced several of the company’s hit films including “Uncut Gems” and “Heaven Knows What.” The producer has also been nominated for numerous Gotham Independent Film Awards, per Harper’s Bazaar.
Bear-McClard was reportedly booted from his own company in July for “complaints about his behavior,” which he has denied. He told Page Six that his temporary departure is due to family reasons. Bear-McClard explained, “I’m an owner of the company, I’m not an employee. I’m taking some time off from work to deal with my mother’s health and the well being of my family.” We can only take his words at face value, as sources haven’t elaborated on these claims thus far.
