Maya Vander of “Selling Sunset” has gone through devastating moments in her life, including a miscarriage and birthing a stillborn. Here’s a glimpse into the reality star’s personal life.

Becoming a parent is one of the greatest gifts in life. Naturally, anyone would feel awful if they were robbed of that chance in life.

Maya Vander sadly experienced this when she had a miscarriage only six months after having a stillborn son. A few days ago, the “Selling Sunset” star shared the devastating news on her Instagram account.

Although in pain, Vander credited her kids, Elle and Aiden, and her husband, Dave Miller, for bringing sunshine to her days amidst the sadness.

MAYA VANDER SUFFERED A STILLBIRTH

Vander, known for “Selling Sunset,” moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and worked two jobs as a real estate agent. In 2014, she met her husband in a California bar and tied the knot nearly three years later.

It wasn’t until 2019 that Vander tasted fame with her reality show, “Selling Sunset.” The same year, she welcomed her first child Aiden, followed by a daughter in 2020.

Vander and her husband announced their pregnancy in July 2021 with their third child, but when the reality star gave birth in December, the child came out a stillborn. Vander shared:

“Heartbeat was totally normal. The cord was not close to his neck. So, when I left, I felt good about it with the assumption that my baby is just growing, and he has less room to move.”

However, when she had another visit to the OB, the doctor no longer found a heartbeat. “I was in a complete shock,” she added. “I called my husband hysterical, and the doctors were devastated as well.”

Vander was forced to deliver her child shortly after, without her spouse, who had COVID at that time. It was undoubtedly a devastating and traumatic experience that she does not wish on anyone.

MAYA VANDER IS THE QUEEN OF REAL ESTATE

Vander’s personal life is sometimes included in “Selling Sunset,” despite the show focusing on Los Angeles’ high-end real estate market.

The show’s first five seasons showed Vander working in Miami and Los Angeles under the Oppenheim Group. After the fifth season, Vander revealed that she did not want to return as a full-time cast member should the show be renewed for another season.

Vander ended up opening her real estate firm, The Maya Vander Group, in Miami and left Los Angeles for good to be with her family.

MAYA VENDER WON’T RETURN FOR SEASON SIX OF “SELLING SUNSET”

According to TMZ, Vander will not return to “Selling Sunset” after the tragic events. She will instead focus on raising her family and flourishing her business.

Meanwhile, “Selling Sunset” has welcomed a newcomer, Emma Hernan, a model-turned-realtor. Admittedly, Hernan felt nervous about joining the Oppenheim team because of possible criticism she may get.

However, her castmates already gave her a heads up about what may come and helpful tips on dealing with external hate. With the support she received, Hernan will undoubtedly have an easy time.
