‘Sister, Sister’ Star Tia Mowry and Her Father’s Resemblance Is Uncanny – Get To Know Timothy Mowry

Actress Tia Mowry, known for her role in the television series “Sister, Sister,” recently shared photos of her rarely-seen white father, Timothy Mowry. The multicultural beauty took after her doting father in appearance. Check out their uncanny similarities.

Actress Tia Mowry is happy to be a part of an industry that acknowledges her abilities and respects her work. Nevertheless, the former child star is even more delighted to be a member of a family that has a fascinating and diverse background.

Tia and her three siblings—twin sister Tamera, brothers Tahj and Tavior—were born to interracial parents. Darlene Mowry, their mother, is of African-American origin, while Timothy Mowry, their father, is of white German descent.

Between their parents, Tia seems to be Timothy’s lookalike. She shared two never-before-seen pictures of her father during their recent vacation in Maui, Hawaii. She wrote in the caption:

“The last time we were in #hawaii together as a family was when I was a kid!”

The first photo revealed that she and her youthful-looking father had striking similarities. Tia donned a flowery top, sunglasses, and long hair as she beamed alongside her father, who wore a black shirt and shades.

“You look like him!!!” a fan exclaimed. More of Tia’s followers commented that she and her dad share the same smiles, while another remarked that Tia’s oldest son Cree inherited Timothy’s looks.

“The Family Reunion” star added that her father has better privileges compared to her mother.

Tia’s father smiled in the second photo while resting against the black railings, with several trees in the background. The puffy white clouds and bright blue sky made the picture look even more beautiful.

Tia expressed her gratitude to Timothy for being the most incredible grandfather to Cree and her daughter, Cairo, while also reminiscing about the good old days of the family. Being able to watch him build relationships with her kids is bringing her much joy.

Even though Tia’s mother and Timothy’s relationship has become more distant in recent years, Tia has maintained a strong connection with her father. Their parents had been divorced for several years, according to her sister Tamera, who announced the news in 2019.

The former couple is peacefully living their lives separately. Tamera also revealed that her father has a girlfriend named Nana, while her mother has been very private about her love life.

Darlene attended Tia and Tamera’s recent birthday celebration with the rest of Tamera’s family. The twin sisters’ other siblings, Tahj and Tavior, joined in on the merriment.

Timothy stayed in a luxury resort in Hawaii with Tia’s family to celebrate his daughter’s milestone. The twins’ birthday party went off without a hitch, and neither of them had any concerns about their chosen arrangement.

Even though they are no longer together, the former couple continues to show their support for Tia and Tamera’s careers. They accompanied their daughters on several trips outside the city during their early days in the entertainment industry in late 1990.

Unfortunately, because of their interracial relationship at the time, Darlene and Timothy’s relationship received unwanted attention. Tia said that growing up in a mixed-race family, she saw how other people interacted differently with her mother and father.

“The Family Reunion” star added that her father has better privileges than her mother. Tia recalled how some people would pass judgment on Darlene based on her race and skin color.

While racism is still prevalent today, Tia Mowry has high hopes for the future and believes it will bring about significant change. As a mother of two, she teaches her children about the rich culture and history of the Black community.

Tia married actor Cory Hardrict in 2008 and welcomed two children, Cree in 2011 and Cairo in 2018. After giving birth, she shared she once had unhealthy thoughts about her post-partum body, but she has since embraced her imperfections.
