Strictly It Takes Two fans have demanded “a new stat person” after an error on the popular BBC spin-off show. BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers took to social media platform X to correct a statistic about the youngest ever finalist.
It came after claims Bobby Brazier – at the ripe age of just 20 – would take the accolade of being the youngest ever male finalist but fans were quick to point out who was actually the youngest.
Spencer Moon actor Chris Parker made it through to the final in 2004 with his partner Hannah Karttunen – but that final wasn’t in December – it was in July. Drew Ross wrote on X: “It Takes Two needs a new stat person.
“Bobby is the youngest male finalist, because the series one final was in July 2004 when Chris and his Batman pjs were in it. Correct yourselves again guys.”
Tony Ryan backed up Chris’ theory. He posted: “Eh, bobby is the youngest male finalist ever not Chris? Chris’ final was in July. You got it right the first time #ItTakesTwo.”
Chris Parker was born in August 1983 and that 2004 series aired in the summer – a final on July 3 – meaning he was almost 21. Bobby celebrated his 20th birthday in June meaning Bobby would be about six months younger and takes the accolade.
