Strictly Come Dancing’s Vito Coppola has revealed the text he sent to partner Ellie Leach at 3am ahead of their Saturday night performance.
Last weekend the couple impressed the judges and viewers at home with their Charleston to Love Machine by Girls Aloud and managed to score 39 out of 40. Vito kissed Ellie on the cheek and told her: “We’ve won, baby”.
The pair appeared on Strictly spin off It Takes Two tonight alongside host Janette Manrara and talk soon turned to their recent performance.

Janette said: “Let’s get into the dance, those lifts were absolutely incredible. I want to do them, I want to give them a go one day. How many hours went into that?”

Vito replied: “The selection of the lifts is a very long process. One night I woke up at 3am and I thought ‘I want to do this lift’.”
Ellie jumped in: “He just throws them at me.” Janette asked: “Did he send you a text right there and then at 3am?” The soap star revealed: “Yes. He just sends me videos and he’s like ‘we are doing this, we are doing that’ and I’m like OK.”
Vito looked at Ellie and said: “But you always say yes.” Ellie admitted: “Yes I always say yes.” Speaking about the performance, Ellie admitted: “I felt like I was in a music video, I felt like a pop star, it was the weirdest feeling ever.”
She continued: “I really loved having the extra dancers because I think it really brought the extra part and made it into a full package.”
Janette went on to point out: “Vito Anton noticed that you didn’t point your feet in the cartwheel, you let us down.”

Ellie jumped in and shouted: “You let me down.” Janette then asked: “Everything else was perfect so was this your favourite dance?”
Vito replied: “The thing is every week I always say it’s my favourite dance and this week I’m saying it’s my favourite.”
Janette then revealed: “This week’s Strictly superfan Tom Hiddleston aka Loki told Zoe Ball that you were the most impressed celeb in the show. A Hollywood A-lister is watching you, how does that make you feel?”
Ellie looked excited as she replied: “Honestly my friends were sending it to me and I was like ‘is this real’ It doesn’t feel real, it is honestly the weirdest feeling ever – it’s amazing.”
