Sung Han Bin Faced Gay Speculations with Zhang Hao after ‘Boys Planet’ Show

Fans are unsure if Sung Han Bin is gay as the singer and performer ignited the public’s curiosity about his sexual orientation following how he relates with Zhang Hao, a fellow contestant from the “Boys Planet” show.

Sung Han Bin is a fast-rising singer famous for competing in the hit Korean reality show “Boys Planet.” While on the show, he became the fans’ favorite and ranked second place in the final episode, securing his spot in the group ZEROBASEONE.

The rising star was frequently paired with fellow contestant Zhang Hao during the show, and fans paired them and created the name and hashtag “HaoBin.” Their pairing garnered significant attention, with their hashtag on TikTok accumulating over 150 million views.

In addition to earning a place in ZEROBASEONE, Bin, born on June 13, 2001, was selected as the leader of the nine-member project group established through the MNET’s survival show.

Despite Bin’s rise to fame through the show “Boys Planet,” he has faced criticism from certain people. While Bin has not publicly discussed his sexual orientation, he encountered significant scrutiny when TikTok fans began using the hashtag “Sung Han Bin gay” to speculate about his sexuality.

However, fans were divided, with some asking others not to post videos or images that suggested he was gay, leading to others calling out these accounts. One TikTok user asked the “haters” not to police the type of pre-debut content fans posted because Bin had taken part in queer culture.

Hao, the other contestant with whom he allegedly has a relationship, is a 22-year-old Chinese idol under YUEHUA Entertainment. He participated in the 2023 MNET survival show “Boys Planet,” impressing viewers with his singing and dancing abilities.

His exceptional talent and charisma caught the attention of both fans and judges, leading to his selection as the center of the G group for the stage performance of the song “Here I Am.”

Bin and Hao are part of the K-pop group ZEROBASEONE, alongside seven other contestants who made it to the final. Also, the two had the opportunity to serve as co-MCs at KCON Japan 2023. While on stage, their presence garnered enthusiastic cheers and support from the audience.

On May 15, WakeOne Entertainment surprised fans by releasing ZEROBASEONE’s spoiler film titled “Youth in the Shade.” The film showcases Bin and Hao as they explore dark rooms until they stumble upon a single candlelight.

The two exchange a smile before the light extinguishes. The spoiler film’s minimal messaging intrigues fans, sparking speculation that it is connected to their highly anticipated debut. Fans took to Twitter to support the duo; One fan wrote, “No words just Zhang Hao and Sung Han Bin from ZB1.”

Bin has been embroiled in additional controversies as well. At one point, he garnered attention when a photo of him posing without a shirt alongside eight female dance crew members emerged on the internet.
