Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, had one of the most romantic starts of any Hollywood couple. Yet recently, their marriage seemed to crumble around them, with Flavin having no hope for reconciliation.

However, Stallone has now made adjustments that have changed his wife’s mind about whether or not they could be together for the rest of their lives. The couple is on their way to reconciliation.

Last year, Stallone and Flavin announced they would be separating with the view that their marriage might not stand the test of time. A recent Instagram post proved that the couple has made amends.

Stallone posted a video of himself and Flavin with their dog, Winnie, on a boat. They sat beside one another as Flaving rested her hand on her husband’s thigh. The couple both smiled as Stallone joked it was his new way of walking Winnie.

The post showed that the couple is in a much better place, but Flavin’s comment proved the couple was on their way to being their usual selves again after the separation. She commented that she would love her husband forever.

Why Did Stallone’s Wife, Flavin, File For Divorce?

Flavin and Stallone’s relationship began in 1988, and they married in 1997. After 25 years of marriage, Flavin filed for divorce from Stallone last year. She said the couple would be separating, but it was an amicable relationship.

In the statement she released, Flavin said she would “always cherish” the relationship she had with her daughter’s father but could no longer be his wife. She claimed their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Sources close to the couple said that Stallone had intentionally done things he knew would jeopardize his marriage, and Flavin could no longer accept his behavior. Flavin requested that she get most of the couple’s marital assets in the divorce.

Flavin also asked that Stallone not be able to move any of the assets the couple had accumulated together for the duration of the divorce proceedings. They said they would continue to have their focus be their daughters.

Stallone and Flavin welcomed three daughters together; Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia. They are 21, 25, and 26, respectively. Stallone also has a child from a previous relationship, his eldest son, Seargeoh, who he shares with his ex-wife, Sasha Czack.

How Does Stallone’s Wife Feel After the Split?

The couple announced their separation in mid-2022 and followed through with it, despite Stallone being heartbroken that his wife felt they could no longer be together or work through their issues.

However, in October 2022, a source close to the couple said they were giving their marriage another go. Flavin called off the divorce, and the couple began working on the problems they were facing.

An insider said the couple realized they each had issues contributing to their relationship falling apart. They were actively working to fix them, as neither wanted to get divorced.

The source said there was no blame between the couple, and they worked on everything as a team. The insider confirmed:

“Jen is very happy. Sly is the love of her life. She was just frustrated and needed changes. She is getting those changes now.”

The source then said: “She loves that Sly is making an effort. She feels heard and appreciated.” Flavin not being heard by her husband was one of the main issues they faced before their split last year.

The couple has now been on many outings together, spending time with their daughters and Stallone’s son while smiling and enjoying one another’s company. They attended the Ralph Lauren SS23 show together last year.
