Talula Fyfe Dempsey, Patrick Dempsey’s daughter, said goodbye to high school and enjoyed her first year at university in 2020. Although she is all grown up, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor said watching his little girl grow up was “a big transition.”

Patrick shot to fame in the late 1980s for his charming roles in films such as “Loverboy.” In 1999, he married his second wife, Jillian Fink, and they welcomed their first child three years later.

Talula has embraced having a father in the public eye and has accompanied the actor to red-carpet events. Since joining Instagram, she has accumulated thousands of followers and shares glimpses of her life on the social media platform.

Talula’s Father Is “So Proud” of Her

Talula was born on February 20, 2002, and Patrick and Lillian waited five years before expanding their family. While the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum has garnered a reputation for being a heartthrob in Hollywood, he joked that his kids could not have been less impressed.

He revealed that Talula and her siblings made fun of their father, never allowing him to take himself too seriously. However, he suspected they would appreciate his success when they were older. Patrick further said:

“I mean, I’m just ‘Dad,’ so… either you’re ‘Cool Dad’ or not. It depends on where they’re at in their development and age.”

During an interview, Patrick shared that he enjoyed having older children. Talula jetted off to university in Washington, and Patrick said he enjoyed the insight Talula and her brothers gained the older they got.

Their childlike curiosity and observations left the actor in awe. And while their questions only grew harder, Patrick was still fascinated and found it fun coming up with the answers.

Patrick had over six million followers on Instagram at the time of writing, and Talula, her brothers, and her mother made the occasional appearance on Patrick’s account.

In February, Patrick took to social media to celebrate Talula’s 20th birthday and posted a black and white picture of her that gained over two hundred thousand likes.

Talula Missed High School Milestones Because of the Pandemic

During an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in October 2020, Patrick revealed that Talula never experienced high school milestones — like prom — during her senior year. After Talula graduated from high school, Patrick took to social media to commemorate her accomplishment.

During the interview, the actor shared that Talula’s family tried to give her the senior prom experience and created a makeshift prom on a Saturday night.

Talula got all dressed up, and while it was heartbreaking for Patrick and Jillian to watch their daughter miss out on a special moment, she got to share her evening with friends via Zoom.

With over fifteen thousand followers on Instagram, Talula’s friends frequent her page. She also documents her love for travel. In August, she shared multiple pictures from her trip after spending the summer in Paris, and in 2018, she enjoyed the scenic views from a beach in Spain.

When Talula was younger, her father revealed she was his most creative child who enjoyed cooking. Fast forward several years, and he had a teenager on his hands. Patrick said:

“You go from a baby girl walking around in dresses to junior high and then high school. It’s a big transition. You have to weather the storm!”

Talula Comes from a Big Family and Has Several Siblings

In February 2007, Talula became a big sister when Patrick and Lillian welcomed their twin sons, Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen.

While Talula is a wizard in the kitchen, her brother Darby is passionate about soccer, and Sullivan shows signs of following in his father’s footsteps and becoming an actor. In February 2014, Patrick Dempsey shared a throwback picture of his sons in honor of their 14th birthday.
