The Chase’s Anne Hegarty has given a TV legend the cold shoulder following a shock confession.

This came during Anne, 65, promoting the upcoming series of ITV’s Beat The Chasers during an appearance on Loose Women. Discussing quizzing life, The Governess said: “I think everyone says ‘oh, everyone would love you on their pub quiz team’. I mean, most top quizzers aren’t actually that good at pub quizzes.”

Before she had a chance to carry on, Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson, a panellist on Loose Women, interrupted: “Well most people Google all the answers now don’t they?” Anne replied: “Well…..yeah…we deeply disapprove of that. I don’t do that.”

And it was then that Linda exposed herself as a quiz cheat, by telling Anne: “I do.” Looking far from impressed, Anne didn’t even look at Linda as she rolled her eyes and responded: “Well…right…moving swiftly on.”
