Upon learning of DJ Kay Slay’s tragic death, many took to social media to publicly pay their respects.
“Life is fragile, he had a great legacy he left behind RIP TO DJ KAY SLAY AND CONDOLENCES TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY,” one fan penned in a somber tweet. Meanwhile, another wrote, “Just saw that DJ Kay Slay passed away…what a f****** legend man, had some of the hottest mixtapes growing up and introduced me to some of the illest tracks at the time before streaming music existed…RIP to the Drama King!!” another wrote.
Heavy hitters in the music industry also paid tribute to the disc jockey. “Such a real one. So solid. Rest in power King. I’m gonna miss you B,” rapper and actor LL Cool J posted to Instagram along with a photo of Kay Slay. Meanwhile, rapper Jadakiss also took to his Instagram to remember Kay Slay. “Sleep in Heavenly peace @djkayslay LEGEND,” he penned.
