Three Yorkshire restaurants are being celebrated for serving some of the best roast dinners in the country.
The Star Inn The City, based in Museum Street, took equal 11th spot in the noble quest carried out by popular Instagram account Rate Good Roasts. The venue featured in their end of 2023 rankings.
It was topped by the roast offering at The Abbey Inn, Byland Abbey.

The Rate Good Roasts team said: “After another challenging year for the hospitality industry, we are proud to share the amazing work of chefs and restaurants across the country.” To produce their rankings, the account sampled nearly 200 roasts.
Each roast was reviewed against 10 criteria. These Sunday roast dinners musts include meat, vegetables, sides, potatoes, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, venue, drinks, value, and service.
Elsewhere in Yorkshire, Leeds venue The Whitehall Restaurant and Bar, based in West Point, took equal eighth in the tasty study.
