Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley recently attended the world premiere of the live-action Disney remake of “The Little Mermaid” with their daughters, Cairo Tiahna Hardrict and Ariah Talea Housley, respectively. The event, held in Hollywood on May 8, marked the first time the famous sisters appeared on the red carpet together with their kids. The quartet looked gorgeous in their coordinated outfits; Mowry paired a white t-shirt with a floral sequin miniskirt, while Mowry-Housley chose a blue ombré gown. The little girls also dressed on theme, with Cairo donning a sparkly unicorn dress and denim jacket, and Ariah wearing a light purple tulle dress.

Mowry shared an Instagram Stories video with her daughter Cairo before the premiere, where she talks about watching Halle Bailey take the lead role in the movie. In the video, she explains how special the moment is for them because they can see someone who looks like them in a major Disney production. She also reveals that the movie holds nostalgic significance for her because she grew up watching the animated version. Bailey herself expressed a similar sentiment during an interview with POPSUGAR earlier this year.

Both Mowry and Mowry-Housley have sons as well, but they were not present at the event. Mowry shares an 11-year-old son, Cree, with ex-husband Cory Hardrict, while Mowry-Housley has a 10-year-old son, Aden, with her husband Adam Housley.

The “Little Mermaid” premiere was not just about the sisters and their daughters, as several other stars and their families also made an appearance. Actress Melissa McCarthy, who portrays Ursula in the movie, was accompanied by her husband Ben Falcone and their 13-year-old daughter, Georgette. Rapper Offset also brought his daughters, Kalea and Kulture, who wore princess-worthy ballgowns. Chloë, the older sister of one of the movie’s stars, Halle Bailey, also made an appearance to support her younger sibling.

Overall, the premiere was a star-studded event with several sweet family moments captured by the media. The Mowry sisters’ attendance with their daughters was especially touching, as they hope to inspire representation and diversity in the industry.
