Imaginations ran wild as the “Mission Impossible” and “Fast & Furious” worlds collided. Cruise posed alongside Ludacris and Diesel, sporting longer hair. Wearing a simple white shirt and black pants, he beamed at the camera with arms wrapped around his companions.

“Maverick meets Toretto,” Diesel wrote in his post, a reference to his and Cruise’s famous characters Pete Mitchell aka “Maverick,” and Dominic “Dom” Toretto.

Fans couldn’t help but gush about the possibility of the actors working together on the “Fast” franchise. “Omg @vindiesel please get him in F11 😭,” one user pleaded as another said, “How dope would it have been to have him show up in a jet 😂.”

One commenter also added, “You should have him in the franchise. I was thinking as producer but it would be fun if he was in the movie too.”

Some fans had already thought about potential movie titles in case their wishes happened. A user suggested, “Mission Impossible 8: It’s All About Family,” and another said, “Fast Eleven: Cole Trickle joins the family.”

While Cruise didn’t attend the coronation, he did appear in a pre-recorded clip for the occasion, and told the monarch: “Pilot to pilot, Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time.”

Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” will hit theaters in July 2023. The 8th installment, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two,” will feature Hannah Waddingham, as per writer-director Christopher McQuarrie.
