Tom Holland’s Siblings Have Also Snagged Onscreen Roles

Tom Holland’s siblings proved talent in front of the camera runs in the family after they all pursued acting careers. Although he is the most well-known, Tom Holland’s brothers have not only shared the silver screen with him but with other Hollywood stars as well.

Since walking in the footsteps of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as the “Spider-Man,” Tom Holland has made a name for himself as a well-known actor with three movies in the “Spider-Man” franchise.

Fans have come to love the Englishman’s humor and boyish charm, and few know the actor is only one of four Holland brothers who are all in showbusiness. His brothers wear many hats in the film industry and have appeared in movies with talents such as Will Ferrell and Noami Watts.

Harry Holland was born on February 14, 1999, three years younger than Tom. Originally from Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England, Harry kickstarted his acting career in 2012 when he landed a minor role in “The Impossible.”

After sharing the silver screen with Noami Watts and his older brother in “The Impossible,” Harry snagged more roles in short films. However, in 2021, he stepped on a bigger stage after the director of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” Jon Watts, cast him in the movie.

Tom recalled reporting to set while filming his third “Spider-Man” film when Jon suggested casting Harry for a minor role as a burglar Tom’s character catches. Tom said:

“It was very special. My brother, Harry, has a small little cameo in this film where he plays a character called The Shaky Kid. So we now have this ongoing joke that The Shaky Kid is going to appear in every movie that I’m in.”

During his younger brother’s time on set, Tom humorously recalled asking the stunt coordinator, “Please, just whatever you do, make it so that he’s upside down,” and watched Harry swing back and forth while filming, making him forget his lines.

However, although Harry impressed his older brother with his performance and looked forward to seeing himself in the highly-anticipated film, the final release had his scene scrapped. “Sucks to be you, bro,” Tom joked. But, fans caught a glimpse of Harry in the cut-out scene in a behind-the-scenes preview of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

After landing his first acting role in 2012, Harry proved he was a man of many trades when he began directing short films. He has also spent years working as part of the additional crew and as his older brother’s assistant on multiple of Tom’s movies, including “Cherry,” “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” and “Unchartered.”

Harry’s twin and Tom’s second younger brother, Sam, is another Holland brother who tried his hand at acting. His career began after he appeared in “The Impossible” in 2012, “Tweet” in 2015, and “Roses for Lily”—directed by his twin brother and featuring his younger sibling—in 2020.

Off camera, Sam also enjoys golfing. In April 2022, he took to his Instagram account, which had over 800,000 followers at the time of writing, and posted a picture of himself squaring up to hit a ball. “Dream,” he captioned the post.

However, Sam’s true passions lie in the kitchen. He has a website where he promises to show their family favorites and share fun stories. His website reads:

“Inspired by my Granny Tess, a home cook extraordinaire, I became interested in food as a young lad… My interest and love for food continues. I completed a course at a London culinary school and have worked in the kitchens of the UK’s number one luxury resort hotel and a Michelin-starred London restaurant.”

Sam’s already-impressive résumé includes the business endeavor, The Twin Bakers, which he started with Harry when they were younger. The siblings used to go door-to-door to sell brownies and soda-baked bread.

As they became self-conscious and continuously fretted about having their school friends’ parents answer the door one too many times, they abruptly ended their trading business.

However, Sam has not stopped baking and created his website, Sam Holland Foods, a welcoming place for “amateur chefs and food enthusiasts,” where they can share food stories and more.

Paddy is the youngest Holland brother and another who followed in Tom’s footsteps as an actor. His earliest acting credit came in 2015 when he appeared as himself in the short comedy “Tweet.”

Since then, he played “Tough Kid” alongside Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Rebecca Hall, and others in “Holmes & Watson.” This was followed by “Roses for Lily” in 2020, and he has since starred in several series.

In 2021, Paddy was cast to play Montgomery (Monty) Cuttermill for five episodes of “Invasion.” His proud eldest brother took to Instagram in October of that year to promote the Apple TV series. “Catch this guy tonight on @appletv in Invasion,” a part of the caption read. Tom added:

“Proud of you, Padster man! I can’t wait to watch it. Hopefully, soon, we’ll get to work together.”

In 2023, Paddy joined lead actress Ruby Stokes—who played Francesca in “Bridgerton”—in the adaptation of Jonathan Stroud’s book series, “Lockwood & Co.” The television show, which sees Paddy play Bobby Vernon, is set in London and follows teenage ghost hunters fighting to unravel a mystery that could change history.

The Holland brothers often use social media to document their close bond, including supporting each other at red-carpet appearances and promoting new projects.

They also joined forces for a good cause in 2017 after volunteering for their parents’ trust, The Brothers Trust. Dominic and Nicola Holland created the trust inspired by their sons to help raise money and spread awareness for small charities with “a specific and particular set of characteristics.”

Their trust is set on supporting charities that struggle to be heard, especially health, education, and social-minded charities. Since then, their sons have also contributed to the good cause, especially their famous eldest son, with a large fan base.

In honor of Cancer Awareness Month in 2021, Tom Holland and his brothers were the faces of a campaign that sold ethically-produced hoodies and donated the proceeds to a charity that aided children suffering from life-limiting conditions and their families.
