A woman in her 60s has tragically died following a crash in Cleckheaton between a 4×4 and a mobility scooter on Tuesday.
The incident happened at around 5pm on the A632 Westgate at the junction of Westcliffe Road. It is reported that a black Nissan Navara towing a trailer was involved in a collision with a woman riding a mobility scooter.
The scooter rider was rushed to hospital with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance spotted in the area however, it has today been confirmed that she sadly passed away. West Yorkshire Police are asking anyone with information that could help their investigation to get in touch.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Cleckheaton yesterday (26/9). The collision happened at around 5pm on the A643, Westgate, at the junction of Westcliffe Road and involved a black Nissan Navara, which was towing a trailer with a white 4×4 type vehicle on the back.
“The Navara was in collision with a female riding on a mobility scooter. The rider of the mobility scooter, a woman aged in her 60s, was taken to hospital where she sadly died.
“The driver of the Nissan Navara remained at the scene and is assisting the police with their investigation. Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage call 101 or go online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat quoting reference 1212 of 26/9.”
