Trisha Yearwood’s weight was a prime topic in the comments of the glamorous headshot in which she wore a black collar shirt with a rhinestone tie necklace. “She lost a lot of weight,” one user stated, with another weighing in, “probably surgery.”

A hardcore fan commented, “Does her weight affect her singing ability and the good work she does for shelter animals??” Another reacted, “No – she looks like she’s lost weight – I think she looks amazing.”

“Nothing wrong with saying she lost weight. I thought the same thing. She looks healthy,” a second concurred, and a third social media user said:

“I thought the same thing!”

The “Blue Beyond” star tagged celebrity makeup artist Tarryn Feldman in the post, who has worked with the country singer in the past as well as Gabby Barrett, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and Ingrid Andress.

Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks Have an 80/20 Rule

In April 2013, Yearwood appeared on the cover of People magazine in an ombre blue bodycon dress and the headline running a third of the page, “My New Body!”

She had gone from being the person who bought any magazine that claimed someone had lost 30 lbs to being that woman to inspire others. The then-48-year-old lost 30 lbs in four months. She explained her method:

“I designed my own plan that’s low-fat, low-sugar 90 percent of the time.”

The other 10 percent of the time, the star indulges in decadent foods in moderation. She fell in love with her tri-weekly Zumba classes.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Yearwood and her husband, Garth Brooks, into a different rhythm after years of tours and late-night junk food runs at bus stops. The Grammy winner made healthier dishes and got into a wellness routine, she told Parade in 2021.

She elaborated on an adjustment to her lifestyle, “Garth and I try to live by the 80/20 rule, where 80 percent of the time we try to do the right thing and 20 percent of the time we splurge. Sometimes that ratio is backward. It comes and goes.”

As a public figure since the early nineties, Trisha Yearwood has accepted that people will always comment on appearance, “Whether you’re 20 pounds heavier or 20 pounds lighter, so you kind of learn to let that go.”
