Tyson Fury, Professional Boxer, Has Six Children with His Wife Paris He Met at 17

The “Gypsy King,” who holds the heavyweight title, Tyson Fury, is a professional and successful boxer. While he leads an impressive career as a pro athlete, Fury is also a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, Paris Fury, and their six children.

Tyson and Paris Fury are high school sweethearts. Meeting as teenagers when Tyson was 17 and Paris was 15, they only started dating the year after. Two years later, the couple exchanged vows and tied the knot in 2008 at Chains Catholic Church in Doncaster.

Since then, they’ve welcomed six children, whom they often take on vacations. Earlier this year, the couple shared snaps of themselves and their kids, who sported matching red tracksuits with their dad. On the contrary, Paris donned an all-white outfit as they were about to head out for a family day on the bank holiday.

While they seem to be quite the happy family, Paris and Tyson have different opinions about how they raise their kids. Tyson’s wife had an unconventional upbringing and wanted to raise her kids as she was. However, the pro boxer begs to differ.

Tyson Fury’s Children

Tyson Fury, who often dons matching outfits with his kids, lives in Morecombe, Lancashire, with his wife and kids. The couple first welcomed their daughter, Venezuela, 12, in 2010. With their first son, the Gypsy King began the tradition of giving all his sons the first name Prince.

He started with his secondborn and 9-year-old, Prince John James. Following his older brother and sister are Prince Tyson II, 5, Valencia, 4, and Prince Adonis Amaziah, 3. Their lastborn is Athena, likely a year old as of last month. Tyson has a reason for his sons’ first names.

According to The Sun, he explained:

“I’m a king, and they’re princes until they earn their rightful name.”

During an interview on BBC Breakfast in April this year, Tyson’s boxing mate, Carl Froch, suggested that Paris might be pregnant with their seventh child. However, the Gypsy King and his wife have yet to deny nor confirm the claim.

Tyson and Paris may have been blessed with a big family, but it didn’t come without a few losses. Per The Sun’s report, Paris survived two miscarriages in 2014 and 2018. Still, her husband hinted at the possibility of having more children after stating that he wanted to retire and live an ordinary life, “taking out the bins.”

Tyson’s last fight was with Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in England on April 23. Before coming out victorious, he stated it would be his last fight. Afterward, he said he would buy himself “a massive” yacht and enjoy the rest of his youth with his wife and kids. He then concluded:

“I’ll sling some baby oil on and get a tan, that’s what world champions do.”

Family Tradition about School

The Gypsy King and his wife, Paris Fury, were raised through the Traveler tradition of leaving school at age 11. Their firstborn, Venezuela, has already left school, and her siblings are expected to follow the same path.

Despite her husband’s reservations, Paris explained that Venezuela was keen on following the tradition, as her friends were doing the same. According to Mirror, she added:

“We finish school at primary age, which is the traditional traveler way. We’ve just brought the tradition into the 21st century.”

Tyson initially objected to the parenting style as the father-of-six wanted his children to finish their education. According to Mirror, he revealed his opinions on their 2020 documentary about the parents who raised their children the Traveler way, saying:

“The parents of these kids, I call them dream killers. Just because something went wrong in their life you can’t pawn it off on your kids.”

However, the couple seems to have found a compromise. Paris said that Venezuela would be kept up-to-date on all tests and embark on piano lessons. She also stated that her brothers would eventually leave school when they came of age and be home-schooled.

Moreover, Paris has a conventional vision for the trajectory of her children’s lives, and she doesn’t want them to leave home until after they marry. Paris sees her kids, who met the late Queen Elizabeth II, finding husbands and wives and settling down with children.

Family Vacation

Last year in December, Tyson, his wife Paris, his children, and his mother-in-law enjoyed a holiday vacation in Florida. They all posed for a beautiful family photo as they were about to head out. It was a much-needed getaway after the scare their lastborn, Athena, gave them.

Shortly after she was born in August last year, Athena was rushed to the ICU when she became unresponsive. Her paternal grandfather, John, revealed the news in an interview, saying that Athena was dead for three minutes. However, the medical team at work managed to bring her back.
