Val Kilmer’s son, Jack, has contributed to one of the “Batman Forever” actor’s latest Hollywood projects. As a result of Val’s difficulties with communication stemming from his tracheotomy that came after a throat cancer diagnosis, Jack provided the narration for “Val,” the 2021 documentary exploring Val’s life. A video clip from the movie shows Jack narrating the doc using Val’s words while footage and pictures of his father are shown.
“I’ve wanted to tell a story about acting for a very long time – about truth and illusion,” Jack said. He added, “I have behaved poorly. I have behaved bravely. I have behaved bizarrely to some. I deny none of this and have no regrets because I’ve lost and found parts of myself that I never knew existed. And I am blessed.” Aside from this father-son venture, Jack has scored parts in films and shows such as “The Stanford Prison Experiment,” “The Nice Guys,” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” He’s also had fans doing double takes due to his physical resemblance to Val. After Jack posted a selfie in honor of his birthday in June 2022, one user wrote, “You are the [spitting] image of your dad (in my eyes).” Jack has continued to work with his father on occasion while taking on his own independent roles.
