Alpough’s husband, now an analyst for ESPN, is famous for his time in the NBA, where he had a successful career that spanned one and a half decades and took him to four cities. The possibility of always moving made it difficult for Alpough to focus on her career.

After supporting her husband throughout his career by putting his career first in their professional lives, Alpough has come into her own after Perkins’ retirement. Because they are more settled in one place now, she has established her own business and works as a real estate agent.
