Rumors Of Shooting At The Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas Today

After gunfire was reportedly heard inside the Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall on Wednesday, panic broke out. The mall was still thought to be home to the shooter. However, when the police were questioned, they revealed that nothing major occurred at the mall and that no threat was discovered.

A spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metro police stated that there have been no recent active shootings in the mall. However, someone stole something from a store inside the mall at roughly 4 p.m. and fled.

He also made property damage to the mall, which might have made noise. People around assumed it was gunfire as a result.

According to the witnesses, the noise inside the mall resembled a gunshot and caused fear. Officials also said that no evidence has yet been found to support the shooting. However, the suspect was also apprehended close to the mall.

It is also obvious from the fact that no firearms were discovered on the suspect by the metro police, who investigated the matter, that no shooting took place. Instead, the sound of the gunfire originated from the damage the suspect committed to the mall’s property.

Unrelated to this case at all, a comparable occurrence occurred at the MGM Grand hotel on Saturday. According to 8NewsNow, when a man hurled a rock at the hotel, there was a panic that others on the Strip mistook for gunfire.

In contrast to the current circumstance, a fatal tragedy occurred on December 31, 2021, at 1:30 in the Fashion Show Mall. According to the police, a 66-year-old woman was shot in the chest and died. She was taken to the UMC but passed away there.

After that case’s inquiry, Metro police lieutenant David Valenta addressed the media. He said the sad incident took place when the heist was taking place in the mall carpark.

An unidentified man approached a husband and wife as they exited their car in the parking garage and attempted to take the woman’s pocketbook. The woman struggled a short bit before she was ultimately shot.

She was a tourist who may have travelled to Las Vegas for a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration with her devoted husband. Unfortunately, the shooter was still at large, and authorities were attempting to track the vehicle he had driven away in.

Has The Accused Been Arrested?

Near the mall, the accused of the Fashion Show Mall was taken into custody. He attempted to depart after stealing something from the mall’s store. He may have ruined the property of the location at the same time as generating a loud noise that resembled a gunshot.

People in the Las Vegas mall started to panic as a result. The recent mass shootings that have occurred in various sections of the state made it clear. A tourist woman was also shot and died in the same mall’s garage close to the new year.
