A driver has hit out at ‘intimidating and aggressive’ bikers who pulled wheelies, swerved onto the wrong side of the road and then stopped traffic at a roundabout.
Motorist Steve Franks caught the group on dash cam as they rode up Bradley Road, Bradley, Huddersfield, at around 1pm on New Year’s Eve.
Steve said the bikers and quad riders appeared to be wearing helmets but he couldn’t see any registration plates. He said the riders were pulling wheelies, riding on the wrong side of bollards and stopping traffic.

“I kept my distance as the riders at the back seemed to be trying to goad me into getting closer. I didn’t phone the police as I was concentrating on what the riders were doing as it looked very dangerous when they were pulling wheelies.”
YorkshireLive asked West Yorkshire Police to comment. A Force spokesman said the footage was useful for identifying anti-social bikers.
Inspector Andy Barraclough of the Huddersfield NPT, said: “Kirklees Police operate regular off road bike patrols to tackle anti-social off road riding as part of Operation Teakshot and Operation Taskabbey and regularly seize bikes from those using them anti socially.
“We know this sort of behaviour causes real upset in communities and I would ask anyone who has footage or information about anti-social off road riding in the Bradley area on New Year’s Eve afternoon to contact us so we can make enquiries into what occurred.
“Even if we don’t catch persons in the act we do follow up on such information and can use this intelligence to identify and then pay a visit to and prosecute those involved.
“Information can be given by calling 101 or online. Reports can also always be given anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
