Who is Christine McVie?
Born on July 12, 1943, in the Lake District village of Bouth, Lancashire, Christine McVie was a member of the band Fleetwood Mac.
She was introduced to piano when she was only four years but began studying music seriously when she was 11 She joined the band Fleetwood Mac in 1970. She was the vocalist and keyboardist of the band. The band became well known, and their album Rumors sold more than 40 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time.
But nearly 30 years later, she decided to leave the band. Before joining Fleetwood Mac, she was a part of the Chicken Shack band as a pianist.
Throughout her career, she received awards and honors. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll hame of Fame in 1998 and was awarded the Brit award for outstanding music contributions. In 2006 she was awarded a gold badge of merit award.
In 2021 she was honored with the Trailblazer award at the UK Americana awards. In 2022 the former singer was struggling with some illness and passed away on November 30. She was 79 years at the time of her demise
