Matthew Lawrence was a busy child actor in the ’90s and early 2000s. And while his appearances on camera seemed to slow down a bit leading up to the 2010s, they picked right back up again when he was cast as Tony Longo on “Melissa & Joey,” which also featured his brothers, Joey and Andy Lawrence. The show helped put Matthew back on the acting scene with recurring cameos as Longo. After his role on “Melissa & Joey,” he starred in the “Boy Meets World” spin-off “Girl Meets World,” reprising his role as Jack Hunter until the series was unfortunately cancelled after three seasons.
While acting was Matthew’s main focus, he also dabbled in the music industry. He started a band called Still Three with Joey and Andy in 2017, according to People. The group released their first single “Lose Myself” on streaming platforms, but have not publicly released any other music since.
“We started out as a musical family — acting kinda redirected us,” Matthew told People. “It feels good to get back to our roots.” It seems as though the brothers have now shifted their focus away from music again, though they continue to work in the entertainment industry. Matthew’s personal life has also gone through big changes since his days of teen stardom.
