Dame Joan Collins, who turned 89 on May 23, 2022, has enjoyed a long and distinguished acting career spanning five decades. She has accomplished so much in her life, from on-screen acting to publishing autobiographies.

Collins launched her career in the late 1950s, winning numerous awards along the way, including Golden Globes and Emmys. Her role as Alexis Colby in the 1981 series “Dynasty” also made her a Hollywood icon.

DOES JOAN COLLINS HAVE CHILDREN?

The English actress has two beautiful daughters, Tara and Katyana, and a handsome only son Alexander. The veteran actress shares her equally-talented children with her two former husbands.

Tara and Alexander are Collins’ children with her late ex-husband, Anthony Newly, who was a former actor, brilliant singer-songwriter, and filmmaker. Anthony passed away in 1999.

Meanwhile, Katyana is Collins’ daughter with the late businessman Ron Kass. Ron, who died in 1986, used to work in the music industry, being the former record executive of the iconic band The Beatles.

Anthony and Ron are two of four Collin’s famous ex-husbands. She married late Irish actor Maxwell Reed in 1952 and later divorced in 1956.

Afterward, she found love in Swedish pop singer Peter Holm, who she married in 1985, but they split in 1987. At present, Collins has been happily married to Percy Gibson since 2002.

WHO ARE JOAN COLLINS’ CHILDREN?

Collins’ children all share a passion for arts and entertainment. Born in 1963, Tara is a talented writer, broadcaster, and producer who dabbled in acting like her famous mom. 

Then 6-year-old Tara acted in the 1969 film “Can Hieronymus Merkin Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?” with her brother. She appeared in the documentary “Celebrity Naked Ambition” in 2011, her last show as an actress.

Though the 58-year-old TV presenter has no plans to return to acting, she claims that all her experiences in filmmaking have helped her grow as a person.

Like Tara, Alexander, 56, has pursued a career as a successful published writer and teacher. He is now famously called “Sacha,” his alter ego in the world of arts.

Regarded as a premier contemporary portrait artist, Alexander is the man behind renowned portraits of Gore Vidal, Billy Wilder, Christopher Reeve, Oliver Stone, and Steven Berkoff. 

Meanwhile, Katyana, the youngest of the siblings, has also pursued an acting career. Now 49-year-old, the showbiz royalty’s acting credits include “The Optimists of Nine Elms” in 1973.

JOAN COLLINS’ GRANDDAUGHTER AVA GRACE LOOKS LIKE HER DOUBLE

Collins raised her children successfully despite them having different fathers. She gushed not only about her talented children but also about her granddaughter Ava Grace.

Ava Grace is Alexander’s only daughter with Angela Tassoni. The gorgeous teenager bears a striking resemblance to her iconic grandmother.

On Instagram, Collins shared a rare side-by-side picture of herself and her stunning granddaughter. Both donned white outfits adorned with beautiful accessories. 

“Looking a lot like me at 20,” the veteran star said of Ava’s beauty. Fans also swooned over the future star and hoped that the teen would grow up to be as beautiful as her grandmother.
