Anthony Pickering is said to have hit his son’s head so hard that the boy got multiple head wounds and died in the hospital. But the judge did not find him guilty because he was being tried for murder at the High Court.
Poseidyn Hemopo Pickering is from Manurewa, Auckland, and his father is Pickering. He was arrested because he was accused of giving his son terrible head injuries in September 2020. But Anthony has said that the accusations are false from the first day.
On the other hand, he has been on trial at the High Court in Auckland, where he is now facing a jury. The prosecutor said that Anthony beat up his son and caused the fatal head fractures that killed him.
Still, Anthony denied the accusation and told Poseidyn that he hurt his head when he hit it on the window sill. Also, Anthony told the officer who was looking into the case that he heard a noise coming from the window sill, and Poseidyn fell asleep.

Anthony Pickering Baby Murder Trial- What Happened?
The murder trial of Anthony Pickering has been going on at the High Court in Auckland. At the moment, he is up against a jury and the law. Todd Simmonds brought the case against him to court as he told the jury about the murder case.
During the trial, Simmonds has made several accusations against Anthony. Professor Johan Duflou also testified in the High Court at Auckland about Poseidyn’s injuries. He said that the injuries might not have been caused by accidents.
Also, Anthony’s lawyers, Stewart and Quentin Duff, have defended him in court, where they have given some testimony. Nick Lascelles, a clinical psychologist, was asked to talk about medical possibilities in court.
Still, the jury hasn’t said what the verdict is yet, even though both the prosecutor and the defendant finished their parts of the trial on Wednesday and most people thought the verdict would come out on Thursday.

Anthony Pickering was living in Manurewa, Auckland, with his wife and daughter. In particular, they had a son who was 10 months old and a daughter who was 2 years old.
Filoi Haukau, his wife, left her son Poseidyn on the bed for 17 minutes. When she went back to check on him, she found him sleeping. But Anthony told Filoi that when she came back in an hour, she should call an ambulance for Poseidon.
