For many years, fans have been given eventful scenes, with the last two years focusing on internal skirmishes among the Shelby clan. This led Tommy, Murphy’s character, to roam around, desperately chasing his dead wife.

After all is said and done, “Peaky Blinders” season six promises to be a bang, with new and fascinating occurrences that would put the fans on a hot seat.

The lead character and show’s creator have expressed their excitement for the future of “Peaky Blinders.” And although Murphy’s character is sapping most of his sympathy, in reality, he is in a fantastic romance with his wife.

WHO IS YVONNE MCGUINESS?

McGuiness is Murphy’s first and only wife. The couple is a native of Ireland who met in the 1990s. At the time, Murphy debuted as an actor and was cast in the play “Disco Pigs.”

The play was a hit across London and Dublin before it slowly permeated the world’s cities. It remained the most talked about thing for over a year, and this was when the couple met.

McGuiness was intrigued by the tours and decided to accompany the actor. Soon, their friendship grew, becoming an inseparable bond.

In 2004, the pair shared their vows, and by the following year, they welcomed their first child, Malachy. In 2007, baby number two, Aran, came on board.

Throughout the years, the couple signed up for private life, including Murphy’s success as an actor by featuring in blockbusters. Thankfully, it has been their mode of operation, and so far, there have been no controversies in their marriage. While describing his family routine, the actor said: 

“I live quite a quiet life with my wife in London. I love living there, and no one ever comes up to me. I’m just the guy who sits on the train and stares at people because I’m interested in idiosyncrasies, mannerisms and character things.”

Murphy may be a celebrity, but his wife also has a reputable career worthy of mention. McGuiness trained as a classical visual artist with a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in London. According to her website:

“Her work encompasses film, performance, sculptural and textile elements, sound and writing.”

CILLIAN MURPHY ON “PEAKY BLINDERS” HAIRCUT

Even though Murphy plays his role exceptionally well, the actor revealed that there are some things that there is one thing he does not like, and that is his haircut.

On the contrary, fans admire Tommy’s look, especially his haircut. But Murphy thinks it sets him to be disturbed in reality. In his words: 

“People ask for a Peaky cut. It’s crazy that people like it – it hasn’t grown on me. It’s when you get the haircut that people start shouting at you. “When I don’t have the haircut, I can get the bus quite unmolested.”

Not being passionate about a look has not suppressed his drive to give his best. Since the beginning of the series, Murphy has retained the same energy and consistency, making him one of the fans’ favorites, even with his confession about his character.
