Judith Holste is the wife of two-time Bond villain Christopher Waltz. Despite Waltz’s massive popularity as an award-winning Hollywood actor, his private life, including his marriage to Holste, is kept well out of the public’s eyes.

The Austrian-born actor’s stock has risen sharply since his appearance in the fan-favorite movie “Inglourious Basterds,” for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He is known for his collaborations with leading filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, with whom he collaborated again in “Django Unchained.”

Holste has also been involved in the movie industry, specifically in the costume and wardrobe department. Waltz and Holste, who is of German descent, share a daughter. However, Waltz also has three more children from his first marriage to an American psychotherapist.

Christoph Waltz’s First Wife, Jackie, Wanted Him to Quit Acting

Waltz and his first wife, Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Rauch, an American-born Jewish psychiatrist, were married for 17 years. During their marriage, the couple resided in London, renting a house they shared with their three children.

However, not much else is known about their marriage or their children. Back then, Waltz was still a struggling actor, something his wife constantly reminded him of and called for him to find a new career. The Austrian-born actor spoke about that experience during an interview with the Guardian, saying:

“Funnily enough, my wife did raise that point. She raised it repeatedly. Very encouragingly, she said, ‘Oh, you could do anything. You’re so talented. Why do this?’ I took offense. To say the least.”

He concedes that his career has had more downs than ups, and many downs were experienced during that first marriage. At one stage, he spent nine months without getting any work after leaving the theater because he did not like his colleagues.

Christoph Waltz’s Found Love Again with Costume Designer Judith Holste

After more than a decade and a half of marriage, Waltz and Rauch decided to call it quits. In the late 1990s, he was in love again, and this time with someone also in the entertainment industry. His new flame was Judith Holste, a German costume designer. She has been involved in films such as “Wolffs Revier” in 1992 and ” The Fugitive” in 2011.

Besides being one of the most recognized actors in Hollywood in the 21st century, Waltz and Holste are known for being very private about their relationship. Waltz only officially confirmed their marriage in 2013, yet they are believed to have had their wedding more than a decade before.

Christoph Waltz Has Four Children from His Two Marriages

Waltz, who appeared alongside Daniel Craig in “Spectre,” has four children from his two marriages, three from the first and one from the second. All in all, there are three girls and one boy. Only the names of the three older children have been made public.

The first child is Miriam. She followed her mother’s religious beliefs of being Jewish. This was revealed in 2013 when she was preparing for her wedding in Israel. Her father was said to have been flying to Jerusalem for the wedding.

Miriam’s brother, who is also the only male child of Waltz, is called Leon. He practiced Orthodox Judaism and was believed to have been enrolled at a traditional Jewish school where he was studying to become a rabbi around the time his older sister married.

Not much is known about the last two girls except that the older of the two is called Rachel. She is probably close to her 30s or just past that, given that her parents had her before the late 1990s when they were still married.
