‘Who Is This?’: Jennifer Love Hewitt’s New Haircut ‘Different Face’ Lead To Confusion among Fans

Early 2000s “It” girl and Hollywood actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, 44, was born in Texas and grew up with her mother and brother after he parents split when she was a baby. Despite not growing up in the show business world, she started performing songs at local shows and dance halls at 3.

By the time she turned 9, she had joined a traveling dance company and performed in the Soviet Union. At 10, she won the title of Little Miss Texas and got recognized by talent scouts.

Hewitt worked tirelessly for years to find a way into the entertainment industry, and eventually, as luck would have it, a high school friend recommended her for the girl-next-door role in “Party of Five.” When the friend made the introduction between Hewitt and the casting directors, she landed her first big role as Sarah Reeves.

Hewitt became a star on the rise, and by the time 1997 came around, she scored her big break in the popular film “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Soon, she became a teenage heartthrob for boys everywhere and went on to continue starring in other productions.

In 2013, she got engaged to fellow actor Brian Hallisay, and the couple wed in November of the same year. Over the course of their relationship, they have welcomed three children. Their firstborn, Autumn Hallisay, was conceived around the same time they announced their engagement, and they went on to welcome Atticus Hallisay in 2015 and Aidan Hallisay in 2021.

On February 21, the mama bear of three posted a selfie on her 44th birthday. In the picture, she adorns her usual brunette locks and wears a pink shirt. A portion of her caption reflects on her life and the gratitude she has for being a mom of three and a wife to her beloved husband and in another section of her message, she mentioned that she is:

“…sometimes insecure about aging…”

Similarly, a few days ago, Hewitt posted another selfie with a new look, and this time, she showed two images of herself. The first showed her rocking her usually long locks with blonde highlights and undertones, while the second image showed off her new dark red bob. When people saw the picture, some expressed that they did not recognize her:

“Who is this??? Why does this look like a completely different person???”

Some could not believe the pictures were of the same teen idol known for her 2000 hit movies. Though many still called her beautiful, comments about her looking different still ensued:

“But…I remembered you with a different face! Beautiful all the same…but different.”

Hewitt may have switched up her look, but one thing that has not changed is her deep love for her husband of nearly ten years (they celebrate their 10th anniversary in November). In fact, she previously said that she fell in love with Hallisay all over again in a rare picture she posted of him on her Instagram.

She took the image during the Halloween season last year, which showed doting dad Hallisay wearing a pumpkin head. Multiple Halloween decorations were also seen in the photo.

Hallisay and Hewitt are typically a private couple who even had their wedding in secret and only announced certain information about their family life. Of these announcements, their engagement and first pregnancy were two noteworthy events they shared with the public:

“We’re so thrilled and happy to start a family.”

Another interesting fact about the couple is that Hallisay is not only in a real-life relationship with Hewitt but played her ex in “9-1-1.”
