On May 25, 2022, British supermodel Kate Moss testified for Johnny Depp in his and Amber Heard’s defamation trial. Heard had previously mentioned a rumor about Depp supposedly causing Moss to fall down a set of stairs in court.

However, Moss revealed that she actually slid because the floor was wet due to a rainstorm. Instead of “pushing” or “kicking” her, Depp carried her to their room and got her medical attention. Depp and Moss were an “it” couple in the 1990s, so why did they break up?

WHEN DID JOHNNY DEPP AND KATE MOSS DATE?

Celebrity columnist George Wayne took credit for introducing Depp and Moss at a coffee shop in New York in 1994. However, their relationship started on the wrong foot as authorities arrested Depp for trashing a hotel room while Moss slept.

It is essential to point out that the former couple kept most details of their romance away from the spotlight, leading to a few breakup rumors in 1997.

WHY DID JOHNNY DEPP AND KATE MOSS BREAK UP?

Depp assumed all responsibility for their separation. He blamed being stupid and not prioritizing his and Moss’ relationship over his acting career as the main reasons. Depp said

“I have been so stupid because we had so much going for our relationship. […] I was difficult to get on with, I let my work get in the way, and I didn’t give her the attention [she deserved].”

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star added that he should not have paid too much attention to what people said about his work. And even if he did, he should not have taken his worries to their home.

Moss confessed she lost that “gauge” of having somebody she could trust as a partner following their split. She even described the years following their separation as a nightmare.
