William Kate Will Go to US for the 1st Time in Years – Kate Allegedly Wants to Mend Rift with Meghan

• Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton could reunite during the Prince and Princess of Wales’ upcoming trip to the US.

• Markle and Middleton have had a fragile relationship since the beginning. There have been numerous speculations about why that is.

Kate Middleton and Prince William will be going to the United States after nearly a decade. The Princess of Wales plans to mend the rift between her and Meghan Markle.

Per Us Magazine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, are planning on visiting the US in December 2022.

This will be the royal couple’s trip to America in eight years. The pair will visit Boston late this year for the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony. The Prince and Princess announced the news on Twitter via a video on July 20, 2022.

The future king of England said in the clip: “In 2022, we’re back and bringing Earthshot to the USA, where we’ll award the next five winners of the prize.” Boston Red Sox player Xander Bogaerts added that the event would take place in Boston.

Prince William first launched Earthshot in 2020 along with David Attenborough. The mission of the awarding ceremony is to recognize those who impact the environment by inventing “practical” and impactful solutions” to combat climate change.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ last trip to the US came in December 2014, when the duo visited New York City for diplomatic engagements. The couple also decided to attend a Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game, where they met renowned NBA star LeBron James.

Buckingham Palace later released a statement stating the royal couple had a blast during their visit to NYC: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge very much enjoyed their time in the US, including attending the NBA game and meeting LeBron.”

This time around, Prince William and Middleton’s upcoming trip to America is said to be more sensitive as the princess plans to repair her relationship with the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

A source revealed to Us Weekly in October 2022 that Middleton’s decision to fix her broken relationship with her sister-in-law is a means for their spouses also to stop feuding and move forward together:

“Once Kate and William’s Boston plans are set in stone, she’s planning to extend an olive branch to Meghan in a bid to reunite the brothers and heal the rift.”

The insider added that Middleton’s plan to bury the hatched with her sister-in-law is “inspired” by what her late grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, “would’ve wanted” for the duo.

The source stated that although Markle and her husband Prince Harry’s schedules are tight, she “is willing” to make an effort to meet Middleton halfway, so long as their “dates” are not too close to one another:

“Prince Harry and Meghan are knee-deep with the hectic schedules, but Meghan is willing to put in the effort as long as dates don’t clash.”

Middleton and Markle’s relationship has not been easy since the beginning and has consistently suffered throughout the years.

How Markle & Middleton’s Relationship Became Problematic

Speculations of a fractured relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales arose following Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.

Within two years of marriage, the Duke of Sussex and his wife announced they were stepping down as senior members and confirmed their decision not to return a year later.

In February 2021, Buckingham Palace wrote in a statement that after talks with the prince, Her Majesty had made it clear that the royal couple’s decision to step down would forfeit them the opportunity to carry “duties that come with a life of public service.”

Therefore, the Duke and Duchess had their “honorary military appointments and royal patronages” stripped away from them, which were then “redistributed” among other senior members of the Royal Family.

However, Middleton and Markle’s strained relationship goes way back to when the American native was introduced into the Royal Family. Insiders have disclosed that the pair did not get along and were “very different.”

Per the Mirror, in the book, “Finding Freedom,” co-authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed that Markle and her sister-in-law were never close.

Prince Harry introduced his future spouse to his brother and sister-in-law at Kensington Palace only a few months into their newfound romance.

Upon meeting, the “Suits” alum was reportedly left “disappointed” when she realized that Middleton was an “extremely guarded person” with a close group of friends – which ultimately affected the chances of the two women to connect as future in-laws.

Durand and Scobie wrote that Markle once said she and the Reading native were not exactly “best friends.” Moreover, the duo’s relationship has not “progressed much since” Markle was the prince’s lover:

“Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t bonded over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it.”

However, the mother of two grew fond of her sister-in-law’s one and only daughter, Princess Charlotte, which brought the two women together and diffused the tension between them.

In the early stages of their relationship, Markle and Prince Harry lived together at his Kensington Palace home, Nottingham Cottage. The duo’s residence was nearer to the formerly known Cambridge’s home. Therein, Markle spent much of her time with Middleton and Prince William’s kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Having the children around all the time forced the formerly known fab-four to put their differences aside. Markle even gifted the future Queen Consort a notebook that brought them together, and the two later attended Wimbledon side-by-side for two consecutive years.

Despite their efforts, Scobie told People that there was already enough “damage” done for Middleton and Markle to sustain their fragile relationship.

Following Megxit, the Duchess opened up about her strenuous relationship with the Princess of Wales during a televised CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. Markle recalled that just days before her wedding to Prince Harry, she and Middleton butted heads during a dress fitting.

She revealed the mother of three had been “upset about” the garments for young royals, which left her in tears. Markle said the experience “hurt” her “feelings,” adding that although the week had been stressful enough, Middleton admitted that she was at fault and “apologized” to her.

Meanwhile, an insider revealed that Middleton felt as though people had misunderstood her relationship with her sister-in-law. After the Sussexes welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet in June 2021, there were efforts to end the ongoing feud between the women:

“Kate has been reaching out to Meghan a lot more since [Lilibet] was born. She’s sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build a relationship.”

The source added the Royal Family has also been doing their part by advising their staff to “reach out more” to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Markle and Middleton were reunited in September 2022 after the Queen’s death. The Duchess and the Duke joined the Prince and Princess to greet mourners outside Windsor Palace following the sovereign’s passing at age 96 on September 8, 2022.
