On December 4, 2022, William Shatner was still appearing on stages and working at age 91. That weekend, the star appeared at Los Angeles’ ComicCon, where he looked energized and younger than his age while interacting with the audience.

He was dressed in a black T-shirt, matching pants, and a mustard-colored jacket with his salt and pepper-colored hair styled short. His appearance came after his former “Star Trek” co-star, George Takei, criticized his past.

Takei, who played Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu alongside Shatner’s Captain James T Kirk, said the star was a “cantankerous old man” while being interviewed on “The Graham Norton Show” on December 2, 2022. The then 85-year-old actor said he wouldn’t talk about William any longer.

He vowed that his appearance on Graham Norton’s talk show was the last time he spoke about his former co-star. Takei’s word came after William’s other former “Star Trek” co-stars criticized how he’d behaved on the 1960 set of the show.

In a different November 2022 interview, William claimed he’d realized that his former co-stars said the things they did about him “for publicity.” He couldn’t understand why his former colleagues were still raging about “some incident” that happened sixty years ago.

The star believed it was “weird” and a “sickness” to obsess about an incident so much. On a Facebook post about William’s appearance at ComicCon, some fans chose to focus on his looks, with one person claiming he looked “20 years younger.”

Someone else said the actor looked good, while a third one appeared not to believe he was 91 and thought he looked “great” for that age. A Facebook user teased their “other half,” who was 55, saying the star looked “better” than them.
