Zane Phillips’ Partner: The Actor Was Linked to Only One Person in the Past

When he started out as a theater actor in New York, Zane Phillips’ partner on stage tended to be the pretty girl to his jock, but off-stage, he is the one to romance the pretty boys.

“Glamorous” star Zane Phillips is a proud gay man in his private life, and in some of his recent projects, the last mentioned, “Fire Island” and “Legacies.”

As for romance, the Colorado-based actor was linked to a swimmer and entrepreneur for a few years before he landed his first significant role. He looks to be single for the moment.

As he grew up in a small conservative Texan town, with only six in his graduating class, Zane Phillips’ sexuality was a part of his life he could only live out in the open once he moved to New York to become a performer.

The opportunity to play queer characters has been a real “blessing” for the star who built his career on being the “bland boyfriend of pretty girls” in theatre productions. He told Gay Times:

“We talk about representation, we talk about matching the identity of the role with the identity of the actor, and as much as it is important for the person watching, it is a blessing for the person playing that role. Suddenly, you get to relax.”

For Kim Cattrall’s TV son, being queer is more than who he is “attracted to.” As he divulged in a June 2023 interview, it is how he moves “through the world.”

The duo has scrubbed most of their online memories.

“It’s about who my community is and who I choose within my friendships, ” he continues, “and the chosen family that we surround ourselves with.” He is in good company with stars like his “Fire Island” castmate Margaret Cho paving the way.

Between 2016 and 2018, the “Partner Track” actor and entrepreneur Zach Houghton Glassman had flirty exchanges on social media. Phillips even referred to Glassman as his “lover.”

The suspected couple traveled widely around the United States from Upstate New York to Las Vegas and internationally to Canada and Singapore. The duo has scrubbed most of their online memories from their respective social media platforms.

However, a few sweet moments remain. Phillips stole a snap of his beau holding his camera outside a Singapore government building with rainbow shutters captioned, “The master at work.”

Glassman is a Columbia grad, a swimmer who had taken part in Canadian Olympic trials (three times), and the founder and CEO of Passion Passport.

The independent consultant has worked on creative campaigns for Hyatt, Expedia, United Airlines, Amtrak, and Adobe. He is an analyst and commentator at “domestic swim meets.”

According to his social media profile and website, he has a working knowledge of five languages: English, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, and French.

“I see this image, and I smile. In my mind, I’m back here at Thunder Cove,” Glassman partially captioned an August 2018 photo of Phillips standing on a rock, wistfully staring at the ocean.
