Amid all the bad PR from his public feud against Jimmy Kimmel,Aaron Rodgers was booted out of the Pat McAfee Show for the rest of the season. Or so it appeared that way. Only a day after the announcement, the show’s host welcomed Aaron Rodgers’ back to everyone’s surprise. Although his return does have a reason to be, it’s not as if he is returning back to the Tuesday show he had with his friend Pat. Last Wednesday, the legendary Nick Saban announced he was retiring from college football. On Thursday, the also legendary Bill Belichick also announced he is leaving the New England Patriots. McAfee wanted the opinion of an expert and the last man with whom coach Belichick spoke on the field before leaving the Patriots.

Will Aaron Rodgers return for next season’s show?

During his brief appearance, Aaron Rodgers made it clear that he only returned to pay his respects to both Saban and Belichick but he is not coming back to another show this season. Currently, he made the internet connection from some place in the woods as he is starting his off-season rest. Rodgers is known for disconnecting from the rest of the world right after a season ends. But this also doesn’t mean Rodgers is not coming back to The Pat McAfee Show next season. Come the summer, the New York Jets‘ quarterback will likely get a new invitation to guest star on the show. Also, McAfee made it clear that if he wants, he will bring Aaron Rodgers back to the show during the off-season for special occassions such as this one.

Contrary to what people expected from this sudden return to the show, Aaron Rodgers did not reference Jimmy Kimmel or any controversy once. He paid respect to both head coaches who just retired and spoke highly of both fo them. The internet connection was a little glitchy at times during the show but Aaron Rodgers managed okay. Many celebrated Rodgers was not coming back to the show but McAfee wanted to make it clear Rodgers will remain as one of his star guests no matter what.
