Just days after suffering an attempt on his life, Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. showed up at the team’s facilities. The player arrived with a smile and on crutches.
Robinson remained hospitalized Monday and there is a possibility he will be released by the end of the day. The RB posted a story on his Instagram page saying the surgery was successful.
Commanders coach Ron Rivera said his staff will determine whether to place Robinson on the non-football injury list (NFL roster) after talking with doctors. The rookie would miss at least four regular-season games.
Before it was released that Robinson had gone to visit teammates NFL Network reporter Mie Garafolo broke the news that the Washington running back had been hit in the knee by a bullet, but fortunately did not touch any ligaments.
D.C. police ask for help in finding assailants
D.C. Metropolitan Police sent out a statement asking people for help in locating the assailants of Brian Robinson Jr, who shot him on at least two occasions.
The police sent photos of the assailants, the images were taken by a video camera that is installed near the scene.
“Anyone who can identify these individuals and/or this vehicle, or who has knowledge of this incident, should do nothing other than call police at (202) 727-9099 or text their information to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.”
